I can’t believe it’s already mid-august. This summer passed so fast. I love the warm season so much that I could have summer for six months every single year.
When it’s warm outside, I usually favour a fresh and fruity breakfast to start the day. That’s why I frequently have smoothie bowls for breakfast. I already shared a fruity recipe with local fruit with you. For those who prefer exotic recipes, I created a tropical smoothie bowl with mango and passionfruit.
It takes less than five minutes to prepare this delicious breakfast so you can blend it up quickly in the morning. You just have to remember slicing the bananas and freezing them at least twelve hours before preparing the smoothie bowl.
Tropical Smoothie Bowl
Ingredients for one serving
1 frozen banana, cut into slices
1 passion fruit
50 ml coconut milk, cow milk or a milk alternative
A few squeezes of lime juice or lemon juice
Granola or oats
- Slice and freeze the bananas twelve hours before preparing the smoothie bowl.
- Peel the mango and cut it into small pieces. Remove the flesh and the seeds from the passion fruit.
- Blend the banana, mango, passion fruit flesh and seeds and a few squeezes of lime juice or lemon juice as well as the milk or milk alternative in a powerful blender.
- Pour the smoothie into a bowl and decorate it with fruit, nuts and granola.
